NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 28, 2015) – The Megan Barry for Mayor Campaign is excited to announce a successful pre-General fundraising period which brought in more than $140,000 from over 650 donations – including 187 contributions on Monday alone.
“Voters realize that Megan Barry is the bold, progressive leader that Nashville needs as our next mayor,” said Claudia Huskey, campaign manager. “Megan doesn’t have the millions to pour into this race, nor an out-of-state Super PAC, but what she does have are thousands of grassroots donors who know that she is the only candidate for mayor who will keep Nashville moving forward.”
Recent polling reported on in The Tennessean shows that Megan Barry has taken the lead in a tight, three-way race to a spot in the runoff election; this despite that she has been outspent by four out of six of her competitors and she doesn’t have a Super PAC working to support her campaign.
The campaign will release their full report by the filing deadline on Thursday, July 30th.
