Megan Barry moved to Nashville in 1991 to attend Vanderbilt University’s Owen School. She received her MBA in 1993, and after graduation decided to make Nashville her home.
Megan has been actively involved in civic and community activities that range from schools and neighborhoods to arts and politics. She currently serves as a Metro Council member At-large and is a candidate for Mayor in 2015. She serves on the boards of the Center for Non-profit Management, the YWCA, the Belcourt Theatre, and the Tennessee Rep. She is an advisory member for TIRRC and the New Leaders Council, and she serves on the Ethics Advisory Board for the Belmont University College of Business Administration. She is a member of the Downtown Rotary and a past participant of Leadership Nashville and Leadership Music.
