Bridgestone deal moves closer to approval

Council members on Tuesday accepted that logic while arguing that Bridgestone's expected economic jolt and new high-paying jobs to downtown outweighed the forfeit of revenue.

"Let's be clear: This is not a corporate giveaway," said At-large Councilwoman Megan Barry, a candidate for Nashville mayor in 2015. "This is an example of government and business working together to invest in Nashville's future."
