Actors Ashley Judd, Connie Britton, and singer/songwriter Emmylou Harris have joined over 400 women from across Nashville as hosts for a fundraiser supporting Megan Barry as our city's next mayor. The event will be held this Sunday, March 29th from 3:30 to 5:30pm at Cabana, 1910 Belcourt Ave. 37212
"I am incredibly excited about the momentum that is building everyday around my campaign," said Councilmember Megan Barry. "Ashley Judd, Connie Britton and Emmylou Harris are all talented artists, but just as importantly, they are committed activists who have dedicated themselves to making this a better world for all. I'm truly grateful for their support and the support of over 400 women who have joined as hosts for what promises to be an incredible event."

Councilmember At-Large Megan Barry is seeking election to the office of mayor in the August 2015 election. A Nashville resident for 23 years, Megan Barry was twice elected as at-large member of the Metro Council, receiving the most votes in the countywide election in 2011. An MBA graduate of Vanderbilt, she has two decades of senior-level corporate experience in telecommunications and healthcare. She is the mother of a college-age son and has been married to Bruce Barry for 21 years.
